I remember when Summer was a baby, I took her outside to show her the stars. I can remember her beautiful blue eyes looking up at the night sky. She loved drinking apple juice and watching Finding Nemo. When she was older and she learned to ride a bike she wanted me to come over to see and I was so excited for her. I remember helping her Mom paint her room pink. When I went to Japan the first time I brought her some gifts back home. I remember one of the gifts were Japanese books. I remember when I had to travel for my job, I didn’t trust many people with my young son except for Dawn and her and Summer watched Greyson for me. I remember Summer and Dawn coming over to meet my babies when they were first born. Summer was the most beautiful flower girl at my wedding. She watched both my boys for me a few years ago and they liked her so much. She was the most beautiful, intelligent, well grounded individual. When I found out that she was studying to be a police officer, I was so impressed with that. During a time when the country was treating cops so poorly and trying to defund them, she stood up and decided to be strong and brave. I hope these memories bring joy to her loved ones. She was a treasure.

When she was 4 years old Summer and I were going to play a game. I told her I was gonna make a cup of coffee. She said, “If you had a husband, he would make you coffee, my dad does for my mom.” I said, “Really, how do I get a husband?” She said, “You knock on your neighbors door and when he answers you say, are you a husband? If he says yes you go to the next neighbor and ask. If he says no then you take his arm and say you’re my husband.” She was so serious at the time, I had a hard time not laughing. 🤣
