I was so lucky to be apart of Summers life. She truly brought the light to our friend group she was our safe place, the person we went to for advice, the person we went to for comfort , a good laugh. I can’t put into words how incredibly different and special Summer was there is and never will be anyone like her. I came into the friend group a lot later than the other girls , but Summer made me feel like I was apart of it from the beginning, and I always wished I grew up with her. We will never be the same without you Summer Ray , I love you 🤍
I contemplated sharing anything, because I was not super close with Summer. However, I feel the impact that Summer had on my life needs to be shared. I started attending Celeryville when we were all Freshmen in high school. I got to know Summer well, and she welcomed me to the “staff kid” family with open arms. She was so kind and caring, and loved everyone with such sincerity. She never met a stranger and for that I’m so thankful. I couldn’t have asked to be greeted at Celeryville by any better friends, especially Summer. 🩷
I’m so sorry for your loss I met Summer a few times and she was a beautiful sweet humble kid mature beyond her age your in my thoughts and prayers Heaven definitely gained an angel this past week my heart grieves for you I lost a son and I know the heartache my son also died unexpectedly and it’s a pain like no other again I’m so sorry for your loss 💔

My friendship with Summer was short, but her impact on my life will last a lifetime. We played basketball together, went to the same school, and our families grew close through church. I watched her grow into a beautiful, young, and fearless woman. She stood up for what was right, and never made anyone feel excluded. She loved animals, nature, sports, and fantasy books. She was the kind of person everyone wanted to be friends with. I watched as she rose her hand excitedly in class, always having something special to add. She was a bright light in a very dark world. I envied her passion, as we both took interest in crime. She dreamt of making a difference, and that she did. Words couldn’t express how proud of her I was when I saw she got her badge. Summer was full of ambition, courage, and intelligence. My biggest regret will always be losing touch too soon. 🩵 Matt and Dawn, I love you.

I wasn't going to post any memories of Summer because I wasn't in her life alot.  But through the heart felt and loving stories that I have heard over the years from her Grandma Debbie and her Aunt Natalie I can tell you I know her very well.  I remember stories from an infant, growing up and going to school and doing so well, her activities in sports, vacations with her mom and dad, and graduation, her dreams and getting a job as a police woman.  I knew she loved all things.  She had a heart of gold.  I am so glad I had the stories they shared with me all her life. So much love from Grandma Debbie and Aunt Natalie.  Thank you so much for sharing with me.

Summer helped out at the Ccs after-school program that my daughter Grace would attend.  I remember  I would pick up Grace at the end of long day and seeing Summer's infectious smile somehow brightened my evening and looked forward to seeing her. What a beautiful soul
