Summer was every coaches dream as an athlete. Her combination of attitude, work ethic and talent was a step above even on a team filled with great players and kids. She was competitive, self driven and coachable in a way few could match.

She was also just an unbelievably good kid. I remember other players jokingly referring to her as the “mom” of the team, because she always did what was right and made sure others did the same. She was never afraid to stand alone for what she believed in.

It is very obvious how well she was raised and she is an example I will show my own daughter on how to be successful.

For me her life was like her tennis career; far too brief, but filled with incredible impact in the time she had. To her friends and co workers and family and especially Matt and Dawn, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. She will be so missed.

Summer was the most amazing, strong, kind, caring and loving person.  Every time I seen her she would impress me more and more with what she had accomplished in life.  She was such an inspiration to me and I was so proud of her!  I loved every visit we had and she was so happy all of the time!  I love you Summer!
