Sue Balch, 92, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025.

Born with a gentle spirit and a deep love of learning, Sue began her career as an English teacher before devoting her life to raising her family. Later, she found fulfillment working at Sears until her retirement. Known for her warmth and quiet strength, she brought light and care to every chapter of her life.

Sue was a passionate gardener and bird enthusiast who found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. She loved spending time playing board and card games with family and friends and shared many cherished memories traveling in an RV with her beloved husband, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two sons, Pete and Alan, and one daughter, Linda, as well as her adored grandchildren- three granddaughters, Melinda, Gretchen, and Kaitlyn, and four grandsons, Christian, Dylan, Logan, and Casey- and two great-grandsons, Dennis and Kaden. Her legacy of love, kindness, and quiet resilience lives on in each of them.

In honor of Sue’s memory and her courageous battles with breast and bladder cancer, the family suggests donations be made to Breast Cancer Awareness organizations in lieu of flowers.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
