Background
Steve was a big supporter of RISE (Refugio Infantantil Santa Esperanza), an organization that provides shelter for abused, neglected or abandoned children in Puerto Vallarta. RISE not only provides housing, education and parenting for the children, their goal is to provide an atmosphere where children are safe simply to be children, while receiving any specialized care and assistance that may be needed.
