Steven's obituary

On November 15, 2023, a light left our world as Steven Rainbolt, born February 20, 1976, passed away. Steven's kind and loving spirit deeply touched all who had the privilege to know him. His life was marked by sincere affection for his family and friends, memorable experiences, and the joy he brought to those around him.
The joy of Steven's life was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Takita Rainbolt, whom he married in 2010. The couple brought into the world a beautiful daughter, Nevaeh Rainbolt, on April 22, 2011 and an exceptional son, Elijah Rainbolt, on August 22, 2015. Steven is also survived by his mother, Connie Rainbolt, his sister, Karen Boruff, his brother, Gary Rainbolt, and his mother-in-law, Josie Greene Plavka. Steven is predeceased by his father, Ivan Rainbolt, and father-in-law, Frank Plavka.
Steven was a simple man of simple pleasures. His preferred drink was a cold Budweiser or a sweet tea, and his all-time favorite foods were ribeye steak and vanilla ice cream. Steven loved watching "Married with Children" and "The Andy Griffith Show." His favorite films were "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "Gone in 60 Seconds." He was a die-hard fan of Alabama Football and enjoyed going to the Columbus Cottonmouths Hockey games. His love for outdoors and DIY projects was unparalleled; he was a true handyman. Most importantly, he treasured time spent with his family and friends.
As a music lover, Steven enjoyed Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Tuesday's Gone," Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey," and Takita and his song John Legend's "All of Me." He found relaxation and joy in Panama City Beach and Oolitic, Indiana. Steven loved attending social gatherings with friends, especially college football game parties and holiday parties hosted by Brittney & Andrew Weatherholtz, and Christine & Matthew Jones.
Steven was described best as being incredibly kind-hearted. He left behind a beautiful family who will forever cherish his memory and the love he gave them. Steven's influence continues in their lives, and he will remain forever in their hearts. He was an incredible soul, and his absence will be deeply felt by all those who were fortunate to have been a part of his life.
In honor of Steven's life and love for his family, a "Fundraiser for the family of Steven Rainbolt" has been set. Those who wish to donate can do so at www.everloved.com/life-of/ste…. In lieu of flowers & food, the family appreciates your consideration to contribute.
Steven Rainbolt has left a void in the world that cannot be filled. His light, however, will continue to shine brightly in the memories of those who loved him.
