Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Steven Pennamen, who departed from us on January 7, 2024, just shy of his 69th birthday. Born on January 19, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, Steve exuded a vibrant energy from the very beginning, touching the lives of all who crossed his path.

Steve leaves behind his cherished wife, Pamela Pennamen. Their love story was a testament to Steve's boundless generosity and compassionate nature, …

Personal note from Steven's wife, Pamela

Thank you sincerely for the overwhelming love and support extended during this challenging time. The loss of Steve has left a profound void in our lives, but the presence of family and friends has brought some comfort amidst the pain. Steve had expressed his wish to forgo a traditional funeral or memorial service. With steadfast faith, he would want everyone to take solace in the knowledge that he has found eternal peace in heaven with his Lord and Savior.

In recognition of his unwavering spirit and his courageous battle against cancer, I am in the process of organizing a Celebration of Life ceremony to be held in late summer or early fall. This gathering will be a heartfelt tribute to Steve's resilience and the immeasurable impact he had on those around him. I hope that this event will provide an opportunity for us to come together, share fond memories, and honor the extraordinary life that Steve lived. Your continued love and support mean the world to me during this difficult time.

Throughout his 7-year journey with Stage IV Head/Neck Cancer, Steve faced unimaginable challenges. The cancer treatments and reconstructive surgeries left him permanently disfigured and disabled. He lost his ability to speak, and his hearing and sight were compromised. Simple tasks such as eating became arduous due to the loss of all his teeth, and he endured numerous health complications from the treatments.

Despite these immense obstacles, Steven confronted each day with remarkable strength. He bore the burden of chronic pain and fatigue without complaint, often reminding us of those facing even greater trials. His unwavering determination to find joy in each moment served as an inspiration to all who knew him.
