This is one of my favorite pictures of both my mom and Steven. Back when he was still “alive”. It seemed like he was truly happy when she was still around. Steven loved 4th of July. It was his favorite holiday. I have several memories of him taking me to firecracker stands and buying me fireworks as a kid. One year he decided to decorate his riding lawn mower and drive it up and down the street we lived on and it quickly turned into a redneck parade lol. Everyone in the neighborhood followed suite with their four-wheelers, kids on their bicycles and even horse back riders. This became a tradition every 4th because of Steven.

Steven loved Johnny Cash.
He would frequently play Cash loudly in the shop when he was feeling good. Even before mom passed, he liked the “man in black” persona and would somewhat replicate it.
