Steven H. Lyons, 78, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 7, 2025.

Born March 25, 1947 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Kenneth “Rocket” and Ruth Lyons. Steve graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1965 then enlisted in the US Army where he was stationed in Turkey. Upon his return from he began a 45+ year long career in the wine business.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Steve always had a relaxed attitude and focused on the positive things in life. He enjoyed good wine, good food and a day on the golf course. He was a steady force of calm for those around him in all aspects of life. Always quick with a joke and would never turn down a lively political debate.

He leaves behind his wife, Loretta; daughter, Stephanie, son, Alexander, and daughter, Nicki; grandchildren, Joseph, Kristopher, Rosalita, Alexander, and Amelia; great-grandchildren, Kingsley, Knightly, and Elayna; as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Rocket”, his mother, Ruth, and his siblings, Douglas, Keith, Mark, Scott, Kenneth, and Carolyn.

He will be cremated and laid to rest at Fort Snelling
