Steven's obituary
Steven Mark Lunemann, age 70, of Nevis MN, graduated to heaven after a long illness on Tuesday October 17, 2023. He was at home with his wife by his side. He was born October 1953 to Virginia and Clemens Lunemann. He treasured his siblings, Cal and Terry. Steve was passionate about hockey and baseball his entire life and enjoyed watching his youngest son play. Graduated from Brooklyn Center High School June 1971. He spent many hours with good friends Tom and Terry Potvin and cousin Jeff Brown hunting and fishing. He began his career as a Journeyman Glazier working with his father and good pal Keith Lien at Hoffer’s Glass. He continued working with Keith at Gateway Glass until his retirement in 2009. He was married to his wife Sandra for more than 43 years. Together with his wife he nurtured his much loved children to be patriots, upstanding citizens, and productive contributing adults. He encouraged their passions and told them “Have fun! Be happy! Life is wonderful!” He raised bees and cultivated a wonderful vegetable garden and orchard.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents Virginia Brown Lunemann and Clemens Lunemann. His presence is sadly missed by his wife, Sandra and children Jeremy (Missy) LaBeau, Sarah (Kurt) Schrader, Emily (Kris) Smeltzer, Adam (Jamie) Lunemann; Grandchildren Isabelle, Parker and Addison LaBeau, Jocelyn and Liesl Schrader, Allison and Katelyn Smeltzer, Callahan and Everett Lunemann; siblings, Cal (Lyn) Lunemann, Terry (Scott) Wicklund, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Very special thanks to Living at Home of the Park Rapids area, St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sheri Donat, and Josue Jeanty.
Steve said, “Everybody dies, do it with a sense of humor”.
His FUN-eral will be Saturday August 10, 2024, 11am-4pm at his residence in Nevis, MN.
Private cremains burial at his home for family and close friends prior to FUN-eral.
