When a 19 year old Steve came to live with us in San Francisco, his love of children was immediately apparent. As a six year old boy, one of my favorite games was to run and leap on the bed in which Steve slept. When he awoke, he would wrestle me for a moment, then throw me off of the bed. That led me to run and jump again, only to be playfully thrown off once more. The six year-old in me thought this was the best thing EVER and repeated it 25 times in a session.

My earliest memory of Steve, for sure…..And still one of my fondest. 🌷🙏💕
