Steven Leroy Hanson, 62 of Hamilton, Montana died Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Steve was born November 25, 1960 in Ames, Iowa the son of Gene E. And Myrtle D. (Rose) Hanson. He graduated from Forest City High School in Forest City, Iowa in 1979. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Steve served as a Motor Transport operator and mechanic for four years. He was stationed on the East and West Coast of the United States and also spent time in South Korea. Upon release from the Marine Corps, Steve lived in Frederick, MD then moved to San Marcos, CA and then to his forever home in Hamilton, MT. Steve was an avid, gun collector, mechanic. He enjoyed the peace and serenity that accompanies a horse ride in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.
He is Survived by his loving family including his Father, Siblings and Children.
