Drolet Golf Tournament
After our dad died, Steven took the #1 position in Team 1 on the golf course. Every year it was an exploding ball and every year he hit it and acted surprised when the powder went everywhere. He had a big grin in his face as he turned to the 70+ people watching, "you guys"! He was such a happy guy! I miss him so much!

Not being genetic Drolets, we never had the opportunity to spend a birthday with Steven, but we will never forget how proud he was to show us his excellent art work on one of his visits to Lenox and how engaging and perky he was, even in his last months in Sierra Madre.

One visit with Steve and you would be hooked, you would have a forever friend. His infectious smile and big heart would enter the room before he made his presence known. He was the life, the spirit and the center of every function. Steven could only see “the good” in people, he loved everyone: we all should should strive to emulate Steve’s kindness:, the world would be a better place….
His crooked grin and sparkling eyes are forever embedded on my heart!

Steve was a truly spectacular person. I am so sad we won’t continue to build memories of dancing, photography, and jokes,, but I am so grateful he was a part of my life. He challenged the ableism in all with whom he interacted- one of the many ways he continues to profoundly impact the world even after his death. So much love to all the Drolets. I love you

Steven was a gentle soul with the sweetest smile. Whenever I saw him he was happy and would ask about his Duffy cousins.. May he rest in peace in God's loving arms.

I remember the moment I met Steve almost 30 years ago: he looked me in the eye and said, “I’m Steven J. Drolet.” Steve was excited about the college courses he was taking at the time—a cooking class, photography, and Russian History 101. I liked overhearing the middle-of-the-night calls between Steve and Brian. There’d be a long pause, and then Brian would spell out L-E-N-I-N and say “Well, Lenin was a famous Russian who believed in the workers.” And more descriptions continued in story form. Followed by pauses, and then I’d hear S-T-A-L-I-N. Even at 3am, these conversations were never rushed. Always, there was lots of laughter and at the end of each call, Brian told Steve to keep going, that he was doing great. In the wee hours of the morning, two brothers—the youngest and the oldest—effortlessly connected.
Sending lots of love to my dear friend, Brian, and to the beautiful Drolet family.

Steven was so loving and always wanted to make each one he knew happy and he was successful. He loved to dance and I had the pleasure of having a few dances with him. He loved to paint and I have been one of the fortunate recipients to receive some of his work.
There is another star in heaven and I am sure Steen is having a fantastic time telling stories, reuniting with loved ones, and making many new friends.
