Steven's obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Steven Allen Hutchins.  Steve was born on the 25th of February, 1972, and peacefully departed this world on the 11th of January, 2026. Known for his unique hand at photography and his love for chasing sunsets and watching sunrises, he brought much joy and inspiration to all who knew him.

Steve was a devoted father and is survived by his children, Oliver (11) and Henry (7) of Madison, NH, August (33) of Georgia, and Sophia Hutchins (18) of Florida. He maintained a strong relationship with his ex-wife, Ali Woodaman, who stands among those who grieve his loss.  His stepmother, Brenda Spofford, also survives Steve, remembering him fondly as an integral part of their blended family.  There wasn't a family gathering without Steve's sarcasm and jokes.

Predeceasing Steve are his father, George Hutchins, his mother, Judith Heroux (Hutchins), his sister, Christine McGuire, his brother, Matthew Hutchins, and his nephew, Brandon Hutchins. Their memory lived strongly within Steven, and their influence on his life was undeniable.  That reunion in Heaven must have been bittersweet!

A passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Steve bonded with many over their shared love for the team. However, his greatest passion was his photography. His unique ability to capture the world's natural beauty brought joy to countless people, creating a legacy that will undoubtedly live on.   He wanted the World to see what he saw through his lens and he accomplished this with great beauty and pride.  There wasn't a Northern Light show he would miss and he chased those stars all the way till the end.

But perhaps Steve's greatest accomplishment was his children, whom he loved with all his heart. They were his world and would light up his life every day.  They will miss the adventures, the laughs, and especially their dads' great big hugs.  They will cherish the memories forever and carry their father with them throughout their journey in life.

As we remember Steven, we celebrate his life and the love he had for his family, his passion for photography, and his ability to find beauty in everyday life. His legacy will undoubtedly continue through his exceptional children and the captivating images he left behind.  Steven is now at peace and is no longer in pain.  We encourage everyone to live life to the fullest, take that shot, make those memories, and take care of your loved ones.
