Steven's obituary

HERSHMAN, Steven L. died from injuries suffered in an accident on March 21, 2020. He was 68. Adoring husband of Susan Silvers Hershman, loving father of Joshua Andrew Hershman, Jordana Michelle Hershman and grandfather to Elliana Jo Hershman. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Fred and Florence Hershman, Steve was the eldest of three children. He is survived by his sister Susan Hershman of California and brother Michael Hershman (Lynda) of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Also, greatly loved and missed by his cousin Jan (Jane) Gabin of Olympia, Washington and numerous relatives and friends.
Steve was a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology with an undergraduate degree in Engineering. He also received a Master’s Degree in Business from Drexel University. He worked at Three Mile Island following the accident in the 1980s and in his family’s business until he left to work for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River in South Carolina. He brought his family to Cleveland in 1996 where he worked at NASA Glenn Research Center in Brook Park, Ohio for 16 years. At the time of his death, he was working at GCRTA in Cleveland, Ohio.
Steve loved his family and friends. He always had a corny joke and a fun loving smile. He loved all kinds of music, sports, crossword puzzles, reading and home projects. He died doing what he loved (skiing). He will be greatly missed.
