Steven Doherty, age 46, of Dallas, Georgia passed away at home on August 6, 2025.

Steven was born on September 4, 1978 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He graduated high school in Tampa, FL from Chamberlain high school.

Steven played baseball at Western Oklahoma State College before heading to Cameron University to finish out his playing career ⚾️ 

Steven loved baseball, working out, taking care of his yard, and his kids. He also loved his dogs Cane, Knox, Oreo, and Biscuit. Steven was an avid fan of the Miami Hurricanes and the St Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his two children Ansley and Kai Doherty. His Aunts Maria Bareford and Donna Bareford-Byrd. Cousins Jordan Byrd and Justis Byrd.

Johnnie Tolson, Great Uncle. Helen Flack, Great Great Aunt. Etta Tolson, Great Aunt. His mother and father Wanda and Rick Doherty. Steven’s sister Heather Doherty. His niece and nephew Amanda and Kullin Doherty, numerous cousins, and wonderful friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Roy Doherty and Peggy. His grandmother Marjorie Bareford and Percy Raymond Bareford. Steven’s grandmother Shanaya Nalina  

A celebration of life will be held at a different date.
