It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Steven Derry, who left us on December 27, 2024. 

Born on December 28, 1962, to Barbara and Dwight Derry, Steven was raised in Sharon, MA. Steven was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

He leaves behind his wife Frances of 35 years and his four children; Charles Derry and wife Amanda Derry, Shane Derry, Kathryn Derry, Shannon Derry and granddaughter Riley Derry; his brother Richard Derry and wife Martina Derry, along with their children Cameron, Brendan, Anna, and Alli; his father Dwight Derry, as well as many others. His children will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and laughter that their father brought into their lives.

Loved by many, Steven was a man of many admirable traits. His sense of humor was infectious and had a way of filling any room with joy and laughter. His creativity sparked inspiration in everyone around him, leaving an impact on those fortunate enough to have met him. His love was genuine and his devotion was commendable. 

Steven was generous beyond measure. He would go above and beyond to lend a helping hand to friends and family in need, often putting others before himself. 

When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed spending his time outside building his rock sculptures, working around the yard and taking frequent trips to tractor shows. He also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to his home away from home, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, where he’d spend several weeks at a time, hiking, exploring, and showing his children his favorite places and hidden gems. 

The lessons he imparted—of family, of generosity, of unconditional love—will continue to live on through his loved ones. 

In the wake of this profound loss, we ask that you take a moment to remember Steven and reflect on a memory you have with him.
