Steven Daniel Smith, Age 41, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Steven was born October 23, 1980, in Alma, MI. Steven grew up in Mt. Pleasant and Battle creek, attending Sacred Heart, Lakeview, and Mt. Pleasant High. During high school, Steve was on the wrestling team. He really enjoyed camping, fishing, skateboarding, biking, skiing and most of all he had a great love of music. During his later years Steve started dabbling in poetry and learning more about the Arts.

Recently, Steven traveled the United States for work and enjoyed seeing a lot of great sites. Steve always loved to be surrounded by friends and made them easily wherever he went. He spent as much time with his children as he could.

Steve is survived by his children: Katie Harfoot, Damien and Juliette Smith of Waterford, TX and Landen Packer of Mt. Pleasant; parents: Ken (Beth) Smith and Tamara (Jerry) Packer; siblings: Jacob (Jasmin) Smith, Justin (Mel) Smith, Kyle (Tara) Packer, and Ben Smith; Grandmother Bonnie Theisen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at R&R Event Center in Shepherd, MI on November 18, 2022  from 4 - 8 pm. Memorial contributions will be put aside for a college fund for Steve’s children.
