Cramer's obituary
Steven Christopher Cramer, 53, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on January 22, 2024, in Gilbert Arizona with his love, Nicole by his side. Steven was born on June 6, 1970, to William Edward and Sharon Cramer. He was their only child and filled their life with happiness.
Steven had a passion for life and everything he did showed that. He lived a life of no regrets, saying he had done everything he had truly wanted to. He loved the outdoors and the sunshine, which eventually brought him to Arizona for new adventures. He played football in high school, rode motorcycles, was a surfer, a scuba diver, a skateboarder, a snowboarder, a skier, a fisherman and did anything that fed his love for adventure. He loved the ocean and the beauty and treasures it held. He lived in Costa Rica for a while and loved to surf. He wore a shark tooth around his neck and never took it off.
He graduated from Barry University in Florida with a Bachelors in business management. It was there that he became certified in scuba diving and became a scuba diving master trainer. It was also in Florida that he started his career in the grocery industry. After he graduated, he drove his VW bus across the country and landed in Seattle. He developed his career working for Ballard Market, Larry’s Market and then was recruited to be a manager in Austin for Whole Foods. He became a store team leader, opening and closing stores from Tulsa to Oklahoma City and Utah, making lifelong friends everywhere he lived. He won several global awards with Whole Foods and was admired and respected by his team members.
In Seattle is where Steven became a father. When his son, Connor Kai Cramer, was born he was a loving and kind father who showered his son with love. He would do anything for his son. Steve worked hard and played hard and touched the lives of many. He would help anyone who needed it and genuinely cared for people. He also had a passion for cooking and was amazing at making vegan dishes. He could pull anything out of the cupboard and create a masterpiece!
He loved Jimmy Buffet, the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and punk rock. Although the album he sang the most was Winnie the Pooh, which he sang to Connor while he danced him to sleep on his chest. Steve is survived by his son, Connor Kai Cramer, and his true love, Nicole. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sharon Cramer. His wishes will be honored by having his ashes spread at Lake Tahoe, one of his favorite places with fond memories. He is loved and missed. You will forever be in our hearts.
To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.
