Steve's obituary
Steve R. Bowman, 63, passed away on Friday, September 15th at his home in Powell, Ohio.
Steve was born on October 6th, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Tony and Nila Bowman. Steve is survived by his wife, Charel Bowman, daughter, Tessa (Daniel) Davis, step children, Garrin and Kyla Francis, Father, Tony Bowman, Brothers, Rick (Kathie) Bowman and Scott (Julie) Bowman, and brother-in-laws, Brian (Cathleen) Fagan and Scott (Libby) Fagan.
Steve was preceded in death by his son, Troy Bowman, and mother, Nila Bowman.
Steve began his career learning body work at his Dad’s garage as a teenager. It was soon obvious that he had a natural talent for working with his hands, problem solving and fixing most anything, but especially cars. As he worked his way up at a rapid pace in the car industry he found himself promoted to managing people. He was excellent at his job and eventually doubled the companies profit. After 17 years he decided to make a career change and shifted from the car industry to real estate, where he began flipping houses. He soon found success in his new role where directed construction/ restoration projects on multiple of his homes simultaneously and later managed a network of his renovated rental properties. He was an incredible talented, self taught man that was successful at whatever he ventured to try.
Earlier in Steve’s life, he was an avid runner and competed in many 5K races, where he won many awards. He also did triathlons with his brothers, Rick and Scott Bowman. He was a caring, loving and invested father that never missed a single game as his kids competed in sports through school.
