Steve was a man who held strong and conventional values, coupled with a sarcastic sense of humor that endeared him to many.
An ardent lover of food and drink, Steve had a particular fondness for Chile verde, and enjoyed an ice-cold Coca-Cola or morning tea with his egg for breakfast. He held a deep appreciation for National Geographic books, Indian and Asian decor, and particularly enjoyed the music of Marco Antonio Solis, Vicente Fernandez, Chalino Sanchez, and Pepe Aguilar.
Steve was a regular viewer of C-SPAN, and an avid sports fan who championed The Saints, the Dodgers, and the Chargers, and loved watching baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and news. He also loved visiting his daughter, Kim and his grandchildren, Hope and Jackson. His preferred methods of exercise were an exercise bike and treadmill, and he doted on local spots such as Denny's, Arby's, Subway, or Wendy's.
A man with a caring heart, Steve was devoted to causes such as St Jude Children's Hospital. He often shared, in his typically sarcastic yet caring manner, life lessons like always paying debts and the importance of education and having a career. Celebrated as a high school graduate who enlisted in the army and served in the Vietnam War, Steve's legacy is one of unwavering support to family and personal achievement.
Steve's favorite vacation spots were Mexico and Hawaii, and his favorite colors were candy apple red and maroon. In times of distress or hospitalization, Steve requested that only 'Eddie Lug Nuts' be called. His greatest legacy will always be his fervor to help his family succeed and be successful in life and career.
Steve Leonard's memory will persist in the hearts of those who loved him, and his impactful life shall continue echoes in their lives.
