Steve Allen Baum (7/19/1955-11/7/2022) of Santee, California was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to Betty D. (Carr) Baum and Leonard A. Baum, Jr. He graduated from Inland Lakes High School of Indian River, Michigan in 1973. Afterwards, Steve joined the Marines and was honorably discharged in 1979. He graduated from St. Clair County Community College in 1982 and Michigan State University 1984. Soon after he headed to the warm weather of San Diego area. He worked as a software engineer and pursued his love of flying. Along with flying, he also enjoyed camping, boating, and camping. Steve is survived by his sister, Barbara Nielsen, and his brother, William J. Baum.
