Stephen's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen Via, a cherished family man and dedicated community volunteer, who departed this life on March 9, 2025. Born in 1992, Stephen spent his brief but meaningful time on earth touching countless lives with his unique personality and undying devotion to his family and community.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Glenna Via;  daughters, Alysha Harlow and Samantha Via; sons, Trenten Harlow and Damien Via; brothers, Stanley Via; and wife Emily Via; Bradley Via; and wife Angie Via; sister, Christine Bozga. Predeceased by his parents, Stanley Via Sr. and Mary Via,

Stephen was an active volunteer at the Waynesboro Quarterback Club, the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company, and Dooms Volunteer Fire Company. His dedication to these service organizations was a testament to his benevolent spirit and commitment to his community.

A lifelong Steelers fan, Stephen found joy in watching the rough and tumble of the gridiron. He was fond of Dr Pepper, coveted family vacations to the beach, and cherished times spent at home with his loved ones. Above all, Stephen was an ardent supporter of family causes, understanding the intrinsic value of togetherness and love.

Described by many as a mentor, a go-getter, one of a kind, loving, and easygoing, Stephen left an indelible mark on those fortunate to have known him. He taught those around him important life lessons such as how to play football, how to drive, and, most importantly, how to love and be a family. Stephen considered his greatest accomplishment to be a father. His legacy will forever be encapsulated by the belief to "Love Big, Never Take  Anything For Granted, Tomorrow Isn’t Promised and Family Is Everything".

In lieu of flowers, a fund is being raised to help cover the cost for "A Celebration of Life" at https://everloved.com/life-of….

Stephen’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit lives on in the smiles of his family, the vibrancy of the community he served, and the countless lives he touched. Rest in peace, Stephen. You will forever be missed.
