This is a hard time for all of us because we never thought we'd lose Stephen so young. But we are also celebrating the life of an amazing and gifted man who made all our lives richer. Stephen Jeffrey Varney was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 17, 1978. His father, Bruce Donald Varney, and mother, Andrea Ash Varney, raised Stephen and his siblings Christy, Amy, and Brian, in a loving, close-knit family in the Kansas City area.
