Stephen's obituary

Stephen Blaine Triggs, 75, of Frisco, Texas, passed into eternity on  July 9th 2023 after a 3 year battle with MDs- Leukemia.  

Stephen was born on July 21st, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Howard and Ruby Westbury Triggs.  He was the oldest of 4 children.  In 1964, he joined the US Army at the age of 17 and in 1966 was stationed in Germany where he met his former spouse Ilka Merg Triggs.  Together they have 4 children.

Stephen married Yong Sil Song (Misha) on the 9th of May 1992.  They were married for 31 years until his death.

Steve served honorably in the US Army for 20 years, in that time he served in the Airborne division, as a Drill Sergeant, as a cook in the mess hall and as manager of the Officers Club.  After his retirement from the military, he continued to serve the Army as a Civilian, working as a manager in the Club system.  He also most recently worked for the school district preparing meals for elementary students.

Steve loved dogs, children, the Philadelphia Eagles football team, Country music and was an avid collector.  He loved the country he served and was a true patriot.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife Misha,  four children, Patricia (Trish) Sanner, Stephen Triggs Jr., Bryon Triggs and Thomas Triggs and their families, Fifteen grandchildren and  two great granddaughters.  He is also survived by his sisters Barbara LoPresti, Joanna Stroud and their families, many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Stephen is predeceased by both of his parents and his brother Raymond Triggs.

Services will be graveside at the DFW National Veterans Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 on August 4, 2023 at 10:15 am.
