I first met Stephen when he was a child - of one of the offspring of one of the original diving crew "Aqua Gear" when invited to attend the annual Abalone Feed weekend for the first time. I had attended this event annually for at least 20yrs and watched Stephen grow into a lovely young man. Along with his sister and the other "littles" that I was fortunate enough to see grow up over the years. My heart just aches for everyone's loss.
My beloved cousin, I was shocked and saddened to learn today of Stephen's crossing. We lived so many states away but I know what a joy he is to you and Gary and the whole family. May he always be remembered with a blessing.

I was fortunate enough to have Steve as one of my first journeyman at Tesla, a foreman, a general foreman and most of all a friend. He made a point of getting on the same jobs and putting me on his crew…he thought he was torturing me but I will never forget the times we had together. From working 7-12s on night shift, after work tutoring sessions, golf cart mania, bachelor parties, going shooting for the first time, and helping me through some of my toughest times. The list is endless. I could never have asked for a better friend. I miss you brother and you will never be forgotten!

Stephen was more than a diving buddy - he’s the big brother that looked out for my sisters and myself. Growing up with him , Jen , Linda and Gary was more like family then friends. We were all so blessed to have Stephen in our lives. He was always ready to have a good time, provided the biggest laughs and the best advice.
I’m so grateful for all the summers we spent together out in the ocean and will cherish those memories forever.
Every night as we make a fire all I can think is “Stephen! Stay out of the fire!” He will be in my heart forever. Love you all.

It's still hard to believe you are gone. Every day I want to think that you are off on another job, traveling and that you will be coming home for Christmas.  Every time I look at Liam and Alexandra I think of how they will never see their Uncle Tevee again. If I had known I wouldn't have ever seen you again, I would have given you the biggest hug. I would have told you how much I love you and that you are the best big brother.  I miss you so much.

Five years, we shared a desk in the apprenticeship. You always had the answers, like it wasn’t even hard. We shared a lot of hard work and a million laughs over those years. We will never forget you, we already miss you. Rest in peace, we love you.
