I am so saddened to hear about the loss of Steve Martin!  His warmth and humor was always on display and I will never forget his dedication to his wife, family, and the City of Glendale!

From when he went nowhere without his tattered blankie… to sitting on our grassy hill playing with Sniffie the dog while Mom worked in her flower gardens… to his love for neighborhood 4th of July parades and rockets, the louder the better… to tagging along with us neighborhood girls in whatever adventure we could think up… to Saturday ski club… to his love of hiking Colorado fourteeners and camping in the wilderness with Mary Jo and Bill… to his love of tacos at Casa Bonita, the Broncos and above all, Billy Joel… to his passion for kite flying… his beautifully decorated cakes… his hearty laugh and mischievous grin… his love for Los Angeles and every challenge it presented him… to the adoration and respect he received from his coworkers… to his love and adoration for Aymee, Sophia and Anthony and the man he became because of their love…

He lived too short a life, but he left us with many fond memories and heartfelt respect for the kind and generous man that he was. We are just a blink in time in the whole scheme of things… we will see you again soon Steve.

On a short trip to CA, got to spend the day with Uncle Steve and the Martins. I remember we all thought the Library was very cool.

I visited Steve in California and we spent an afternoon flying kites at the beach. He was so calm and happy. It was a beautiful day with my dear friend.
