Stephen's obituary

Stephen Menhennitt, 72, of Gorham, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Steve lived a life defined by passion, perseverance and love.

He was the beloved husband of the late Paula Menhennitt, who passed away in 2009. Their marriage was a true partnership - filled with laughter, devotion and unwavering support. He is survived by his daughters, Eiren and Stacy and their husbands, Josh and John. He was the proud and adoring grandfather to Ember, who was his "tulip".

Steve was a true "Renaissance Man" who had two very different, but fulfilling careers. Steve started his first career as a young athlete. He was recruited by a professional baseball team while pitching in high school, went on to play as quarterback at a D1 university, and ended by playing the PGA tour in the late 70's under the sponsorship of Arnold Palmer. Beyond the greens, Steve built a successful career as a Corporate Executive, helping underperforming companies across the eastern seaboard find new paths to growth.

In his later years, Steve found joy painting landscapes and golf courses, spending time with his fluffy newfoundland grand dog, and cherishing every moment with his family.

Steve leaves a legacy of love, determination and excellence - and will be profoundly missed.
