Stephen's obituary
Our dad, Stephen Paul LeBlanc, a lifelong resident of Reserve, LA left this earth on May 2, 2023 at the YOUNG age of 69. Born on August 15, 1953, Stephen was a man of many sides and known by some as Kosh. A wild, caring, fearless, loving, and crazy soul, Stephen was, above all, the best dad to his children. He will be sadly missed and forever hold a place in our hearts,
He is survived by his chirren (as he would say); his son, Channing LeBlanc and his daughters, Channie & Chassie LeBlanc. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren who meant the world to him; Brooklyn, Brilynn, & Lincoln; and brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his son, Challing Eugene Albert LeBlanc, as well as his father and mother, Albert & Gladys LeBlanc and his sister, Connie Logarbo. His love and devotion to his family were unmatched, and he will be greatly missed.
Stephen's greatest lesson to his children was to never be afraid of being exactly who you are. His children are beyond proud of the man he was throughout the entirety of his life. His legacy is one of kindness, and if he could, he would have helped everyone who needed it. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and his very last penny, even when needing it himself. His presence will be missed beyond what words can possibly describe. He was a lover of his family, Raising Canes, and Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed the simple life and lived the life that made him the happiest on his own terms.
We know he would love for everyone to come and honor his life. A viewing for Stephen will be held on May 12th, 2023 at Baloney Funeral Home in La Place on Airline Highway. Family visitation will be from 10:15am to 10:45am. Public visitation will start at 10:45am and end at 12:00pm. He loved people. So, everyone is invited.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, let's cherish the memories and lessons Stephen has left behind. Let us continue to honor his spirit by remembering his love for life and his unwavering compassion for those around him.
