Stephen J. King was born on November 5, 1947, in Caliente, Nevada, Lincoln County. His early years were defined by resilience and quiet strength after a life-altering accident at just 18 months old. During this incident, Stephen sustained severe injuries when he accidentally grabbed an electric heater at a mining camp, resulting in near-fatal electrocution and extensive burns.
