Stephen "Steve" Hillis, born April 16, 1948, passed away on May 27, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Steve was well-known for his kindness, sense of humor, and his unwavering faith. His legacy will always be that of a grateful, humble man who loved the Lord and served others.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Janet Hillis; his sons, Brian Hillis of Clovis, Robert and Catherine Hillis of Clovis , Eric and Dana Hillis of Fresno. ; and his sister, Vicki Desatoff of Fresno. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard Hillis; his mother, Alice Hillis; and his brother, Randall Hillis.

Throughout his life, Steve enjoyed simple pleasures like savoring cheeseburgers and sipping on a refreshing Diet Coke. He cherished spending time with his sons, creating lifelong bonds and memories. Steve's life was marked by significant accomplishments, including serving as a missionary in Africa and as a soldier in Vietnam, where he worked in communications and intelligence. His dedication to serving others and his faith were at the heart of all he did.

Steve Hillis was an extraordinary man who touched the lives of many. His gratitude, humility, and love for the Lord serve as an inspiration to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends as they continue to honor his legacy of love, service, and faith.
