Stephen Charles Gies, 70, of Waleska, GA passed away on June, 25, 2021.

Stephen was born on December 25, 1950 to Donald and Dorthy Gies in St. Paul, MN. After graduating from Washington High School in 1968, he went on to study Mathematics at the University of South Florida. He later received his Masters in Education from West Georgia University.

After graduating, he began a career in teaching where he met his wife Diane. They were married on December 20, 1975. They had 2 children, Charles and KC.

Stephen taught physics for many years before retiring in 2006. He moved with his wife to the North Georgia Mountains (Waleska) in 2008. He enjoyed golfing, pool, cards, and vacationing to the beach.
