Stephen is missed by so many more folks than you’ll realize. Working with him in Fort Worth at USPIS was a great time. He was ornery when he wasn’t being cantankerous or obstinate, mischievous with a sprinkle of conniving… all the while being one of the absolute best, grounded folks we had the pleasure of working with. A man of the people, we could count on him to push back on the managers—sometimes he just did it for fun, I’m sure- and it was a delight to watch. He had so much real world and institutional knowledge, along with the fact that his work product was unmatched, they just had to accept it. He was a guy you’d ask to work up one piece of information, and before you know it you’d have a multitude of file folders and a spreadsheet stacked on your desk. He’s stepped away now, but we’ll always cherish those great memories of him, and we thank the family for sharing him with us.

I was heartbroken for you and your family when I heard the news of Stephen's passing. Earthly goodbyes are so very hard, but I know you have hope as there will be such joy in that heavenly hello someday. Until then, I’m sending love and peace to you. May the memories that bring you tears today give you much comfort in the future.
With deepest sympathies and love,
Amber

Losing our sweet friend, Stephen, has left both John and I with a deep sadness. Stephen was a true friend, even though we only knew him a short time. But in that time, the man we came to know and love was quick to share his love, compassion, and faith in the Lord with all those who were blessed to meet him, if only for a precious moment in time.
