We live 2 houses from Steve at 3180 Wehr road.
We have 25 acres behind our house and Steves.
Steve is/ was one of my best friends. He would hunt on our land, we would socialize, complain about the world, sometimes fix world problems, sometimes just have cocktails and enjoy each others company.
We would help each other with snow plowing, getting un-stuck from snow or mud, taking down trees, having bonfires, Mechanical, home projects, creating/ maintaining and using atv trails.….
He had been to our place up north (were planning another trip), to Brewer games, Badger games, and a bar or two. He loved to be out on his four wheeler, cruising around our fields, or up in his deer stand enjoying nature.
We were told that he was moving back here after his mother passed away by a common friend (Shane). I happened to be out back on my ATV, and saw this guy standing in his yard. I rode up and said “You must be Steve, nice to meet you. The weather is a little change from what you are used to in Atlanta” He looked at me, and had no idea who I was, or how I knew so much about him. He later tole me he thought I was FBI, or some government official that was tracking him.
I used to stop by on my way home from work, he would always have a chair cold beer and stories to tell in his garage.
I already miss him so much and wish I would have stopped over more.
I miss you buddy!!!!
