Stephen's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Cheung, who departed this life on January 24, 2024. Born in 1953, Stephen left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His vibrant personality, characterized by his always-smiling eyes, friendly demeanor, and generous spirit will be cherished by those he left behind.
Stephen is survived by his dear wife Lorita, loved son, Howard, cherished granddaughter Robynn, and daughter-in-law Sayaka. Stephen was a pillar of strength to his family, always leading with love, kindness, and the strong desire to help. His legacy of giving and finding happiness in the simplest of things will continue to inspire and guide his loved ones.
Stephen moved to Canada in 1992, embracing the country and its culture wholeheartedly. He had an affinity for all kinds of Chinese foods from Dim Sum, Shanghainese Food, Cantonese Food to King Crab, Hamachi Sashimi, and an array of Vegetables and Fruits. A man of simple pleasures, his favorite drink was a humble cup of hot water, reflective of his nature.
He was a man of many hobbies. Stephen had a profound love for badminton and dancing, and was always ready to teach and share his knowledge with others. Many remember him for his joyous times spent with his granddaughter and friends over dim Sum. His personable and talkative nature endeared him to everyone he met.
As a realtor for over 20 years, Stephen made numerous lifelong friendships with colleagues and clients alike. Despite his unexpected departure before having the chance to say goodbye or to see his children and grandchildren's future achievements, he left an unforgettable mark of kindness on those lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.
Stephen always taught us to be friendly and kind to everyone, no matter who they are. In honoring his memory, let's continue to share his lessons and make our world a more loving place.
