I was trying to reach my old friend Steph on her birthday and was shocked to find her obituary. She was born 3 days before me. We were friends at Loyola. She later came back to Chicago and stayed with me for Montessori training where she met Sam. We drove out west together one summer. We were in each other's weddings in 1976 but lost touch over the years with raising families. I so wish we had stayed in each other's lives.
