Stephanie's obituary
Stephanie S. Menotti, nee: Cebrat
Stephanie Menotti was born February 21, 1933 to Frank Cebrat and Agnes Wontroba growing up in Chicago with her three sisters. She passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, in the presence of family, after living a long and full life for 90 years.
Loving wife to the late James Menotti.
Beloved mother to Daniel (Carol) Menotti, Susan (Vince) Palumbo, the late Nick (Donna) Menotti and the late Sandi (Rick) Pollitt-Wetzel.
Cherished grandmother (Gumma) to Stefani, Jimmy, Tommy, Danny, Mikey, Wayne, Joey, Tony, and Nicky.
Adoring great-grandmother to Kaden, Kylie, Alicia, Alexa, Mia, Emilia and Brooklyn.
To so many, Stephanie was a caring aunt (Auntie Babe), cousin, sister, sister-in-law, niece, neighbor, friend, great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and wife.
Stephanie spent a lot of time with her family and friends during her 90 years of life. As a mother of four, she and her late husband James (Bumpa) helped create many lasting memories within our family. Stephanie was always fully involved in every family function. As the matriarch, she held us together and cared for her family dearly. During the later years of her life, she unfortunately suffered from dementia. In and out of awareness, she was preceded in death by her 3 lovely sisters Francis, Toni and Florence, and two of her children, Nick and Sandi.
Stephanie cared for many dogs over the years including Buffy, Kara, Charlee, Annie and Peanut. She enjoyed going to the casino, cooking large meals for our family gatherings and taking long day drives and weekend trips. She is now with the loved ones she has longed for who have passed away before us. Stephanie (Gumma, Auntie Babe) will be greatly missed by many and never forgotten.
