Dr. Stephanie "Jojo" Kirschbaum, born May 15th, 1961 to Duane and Melrose Kirschbaum. At 64 years old, Stephanie passed unexpectedly in her sleep on July 26th, 2025, in the comfort of her bed with her cat by her side. Stephanie received her Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from UC Davis in 1983, and went on to UC Berkeley for Optometry school, graduating in 1987. She was awarded as California Young O.D. of the year in 1993. She was the founder and owner of Diablo Optometry in Alamo and worked there for 12 years before selling it to move to Nevada County to raise her two children, Silas and Jolie. She was an Optometrist for 37 years, and took pride in giving back to the community. She was President of the Walnut Creek Kiwanis Club, and served as a member locally. She volunteered for Eyes of Hope and was a proud VSP State Ambassador since 1993. She loved bulldogs, books, cycling, music, and most importantly, her two kids, who were her whole world.
