Startle Don Barnes
“Startle” Don Barnes, 82, of Ocala Florida, passed away on September 18, 2025, at HCA Ocala Medical Center. Born on March 7, 1943, in Iowa to “Toots” and “Jackie” Barnes. Don grew up in Oskaloosa and graduated from high school there in 1961. He went on to earn his BA and MA degrees from Northeast Missouri State University and a Specialist Degree from Iowa State University. Don devoted 30 years to teaching …
