Stanley's obituary
Stanley Andrew Lipinski, 75, passed away on June 20, 2024, in Winchester, VA. Born on November 14, 1948, in Bayonne, NJ, he lived a life marked by dedication, leadership, and service, touching many lives across various roles as a son, brother, uncle, father, entertainer, leader, comedian, serviceman, and friend.
Stan's commitment to excellence was evident in his military service in the Air Force, where he proudly served for a decade, embodying the core values of integrity, service, and excellence. After his military career, he continued to lead and inspire as an Executive Supply Chain Manager at the US Postal Service, retiring after 18 years. His passion for music and teaching led him to become a drumline instructor at Sherando High School, where he influenced many young lives in the same way he was influenced by the St. Andrews & Bayonne Bridgemen Drum Corps in his youth.
He was a founding member of the St. Andrews Bridgemen and the Bayonne Bridgemen Drum Corps, building on his love for music and giving back to his community. Beyond his professional and military life, Stanley was deeply involved in nonprofit work. He was the president of the Dr. Walter J. Wiechetek Foundation in his retirement, where he spent four years focusing on local community improvements, including the notable establishment of the Commemorative "Bridgemen Grove" and initiating musical youth scholarships.
Stanley was a devoted father and a loving sibling. He is survived by his son, Stanley; his sisters, Judith and Christine; his brother, Joseph; and cherished nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Stanley Lipinski. His hobbies included playing the piano and accordion, gardening, and even amateur bird watching in his later years, activities that reflected his love for nature and the arts.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John Paul II Parish, formerly Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Saturday, July 27 in Bayonne, NJ at 11:00am, followed by a memorial gathering at the parish center. His commitment to his community and his varied interests from music to service made him a cherished member of every circle he was part of. Stanley's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him and benefited from his generous spirit.
