Our condolences to the family. Stan was such a good man and beloved friend.  We marveled at the way he approached life - so pragmatic and without trepidation. He lived well and accomplished much. And beneath the sometimes brash exterior was a very kind and generous soul who will be deeply missed.

Deb and Mike

I first met Stan, "Ski", in 1968 at the language school in Monterey, CA.  On Friday afternoons the department had Czech sing-a-longs and as long a Ski was there he accompanied us on the accordion.  He was Air Force and I Army, but for much of the period 1969-1971 we were stationed together on a mountain top listening post in Rimbach, Cham district, Germany . He maintained close friendships with many fellow vets from that time and got together with several throughout the years - his last reunion with a few Army and Air Force buddies was just this past April in St. Louis.  His fellow Rimbach Vets from military service feel a great sense of loss.
A lovely soul I met during the Sherando drumline days. Thinking of you, Stas, and your family. Our condolences. Barb Croson

A very simple story:  Stas was a good guy, a good man.  I don't recall ever having a disagreement with him since our days at St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City) in 1962 through our recent calls and get togethers out here in California.  His keen commitment to the Bridgemen was genuine.  I will miss him.
