Stanley Delane Lindley, 54 of Martinsville, IL passed away in his home surrounded by his family on April 24th, 2021 at 11:25 pm. Stanley was born on August 2nd, 1966 to Randal Eugene(Gene) and Jacqueline Ann(Jackie) Lindley of West Union, IL.
Stanley worked on his family farm after graduating from high school in Marshall, IL in 1985. He then joined the IUOE Local 841 in Terre Haute, IN where he operated heavy equipment for Kuhns Dirtworks and Dashiell Contracting for the next 25 years. On April 5th, 2011 he married Donna Whalen in Casey, IL. Stanley never knew a stranger and was known for his love of Harley Davidson, telling stories of the past, especially how happy he was to have been raised on the river and being a “River Rat”. His silly smile will be missed, and him popping his front teeth out to get a giggle out of anyone he could.
Survivors include; his Wife; Parents; Daughter; Ashley Nicole Lindley (Bryan) of Terre Haute, IN. Son; Cody Delane Lindley of Martinsville, IL. Stepdaughters; Jessie Whalen(Loren) of Martinsville, IL and Kinsie Whalen(Brock) of Charleston, IL. Granddaughters; Kiah McKinley- Kae Bollenbaugh, Chadlynne Nikole Lindley, Serenity Costello and Nallie Whalen. Brothers; Stephen Lindley of West Union, IL and Scott(Crystal) Lindley of Harker Heights, Texas. Many Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Also, his loyal and beloved dog, Harley Bear. Stanley is preceded in death by his late wife, Tonya Lindley.
A special thanks to Stanley’s niece, Christy Morgan of West Union, IL for all that she did to help Stanley and the rest of the family during his final time here on earth and to Lincolnland Hospice for everything they did to keep Stanley comfortable and the compassion they showed our family during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 1st at 2pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Casey, IL. There will be a motorcycle ride to the church and then from there to his final resting place at the Bluegrass Cemetery in Martinsville, IL.
