Stacie's obituary
Stacie McCraw passed away April 17th, 2024 in the company of her husband of 20+ years, Jason McCraw. Stacie was born in Amarillo, Texas to Linda and Neil Purcell. Her childhood was filled with laughter, lessons, and remarkable memories with her siblings and friends. Stacie had an infinity about her, she never met a stranger. She was extremely charismatic and always had a way with words.
If you asked Stacie, she would say her life didn’t start until after she became a mother. Stacie had six children, who she loved dearly. She was incredibly selfless and cared for her kids more than anything. She was always involved in her kids' lives, from PTA to booster clubs. Stacie started multiple beneficial organisations for her community. She created a school supply donation fundraiser for every child enrolled in Lakeview Elementary. She also spent her time helping others in her community, for example she taught single moms at her church how to efficiently coupon. Everyone would describe her as more than compassionate.
Stacie would love to spend time being crafty. She had many hobbies from DIY projects to fashion. Stacie loved to use her creative abilities for everything. For many years she had a booth at the local farmer’s market selling jellies, jewellery and various homemade products. In Stacie's later life she enjoyed thrifting for luxury products. She was well known for her fashionable outfits and upcycling items.
To know Stacie, is to feel her giving heart. She always took in new kids and cared for them. From spending her Wednesday night volunteering at Awanas to buying her children’s friends countless meals. She was a stand up beautiful human.
In honour of Stacie’s giving heart, the Family asks to donate to the Freedom House Charity in her name. A service will be held at Freedom Fellowship on April 22nd at 2pm to celebrate Stacie's extraordinary life.
