Stacey's obituary
On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, Stacey Rene Hartley passed away in her home at the age of 53. Stacey was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved making people laugh and her close friends and family are going to miss her dearly. She had been sick and in pain for quite some time since double walking pneumonia 6 years ago which we almost lost her due to them puncturing her lung and her ending up in icu in a morphine induced coma for 2 months but she pulled through with a hole in her side that was supposed to heal from the inside out but didn't. Instead, it healed from the outside in leaving her having to pack it everyday, not being able to wash her hair, swim, or many other things that put her on full disability. After that from then till she passed she stayed sick alot with respiratory issues and always in pain.. so now there is peace of mind knowing she is no longer in pain and will be happily watching over us. Stacey is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Geneva Loupe, and Emily and Buster Felsenthal, her nanny, Gayle Sanders, and Kyle “Happy” Bergeron. She is survived by her mother, Bridget Crozier, her father, Gene Hartley, her brothers, Layton, Freeman, and Sherif Hartley, her nephews, Harrison and Cohen Hartley, sister dog, Belle Hartley, longtime boyfriend, Joseph “Clo” Bergeron, best friend of twenty three years, Nicole Simon, and her first cousins Melissa and Chad Mouton, Leslie and Keith Mouton, and John and Donna Tate. Even though they were cousins by blood, they grew up as siblings. Her legacy will be carried on by her only daughter, Britney Dufrene and son-in-law Trevor Dufrene, and her adored grandchildren Daylin, Jameslee, and Korbin Laird. The family is going to have a small, private memorial to celebrate the life of Stacey Rene.
