Sophie Elise Roy-Weber

May 24,1994 – September 23, 2025

Born in London, Ontario, Canada, Sophie was a bright, funny, energetic child. She rarely stopped moving, laughing, or being dramatic.

An aneurysm burst on her brain stem on May 14th, 2000, without warning. After months of hospital crises, surgeries, wild drug reactions, and close calls, she was sent home as palliative.

The family employed herbal remedies, cranial-sacral, shiatsu, and acupuncture therapies, along with the necessary surgeries and medicines, which turned things around beyond all expectations.

Continued balancing of allopathic and natural methods yielded results that he doctors did not expect, and with constant 24-7 bedside care, Sophie was able to regain some function, eat, and speak in a limited way.

Scoliosis was one effect of the brain injury that did not ease, and was eventually her undoing.

Her sister Amelia was a steady source of love and strength, never failing in her love and support throughout the entire 25-year ordeal.

Despite the constant pain and suffering, Sophie brought her joyful laugh and smile to everyone she met; therapists, caregivers, and doctors alike could not help but fall in love with her.

Her incredible strength and resilience in the face of unimaginable challenges is a testament to her huge energetic presence, and the unfailing support and care of her family.

Sophie is survived by her father Tim Weber, her mother Claire Haller, and her sister Amelia Roy-Weber.
