Sonya Nutter, age 67

Chicago, Illinois, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2025. Born in and raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Sonya built a life defined by love, dedication, and integrity.

A talented and meticulous accountant, Sonya was known for her sharp mind, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to those she worked with. Beyond her career, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter who brought warmth and strength to every part of her family's life.

Sonya is survived by her beloved son, Malik Nutter; her cherished daughter, Brialle Nutter; her adored grandson, James Benjamin; and her loving mother, Ethel Nutter. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A wake will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., with a private interment to follow for immediate family only.
