When she lived here in Virginia her article on Saturday was the first I read in the Daily Press and every year at the same church we both belonged to it was a joy during February Black History Celebration to see her presentation. Rest in Peace Sonja.  

We are greatly saddened to learn about Sonya's death. Although we have not seen her for a number of years, we do cherish the memories of our time with her and her sons. She was always update, loving, and had that wonderful smile.
