It’s been over a year since my mother passed. I made this video in honor of her.

I was [ deeply saddened ] when I heard the news of Sonya's passing. I was one of many who enjoyed the gift's and, talent's that she and her son shared. She was beautiful inside and out. She was intelligent and so very kind towards me, i never forgot that about her. I was able to keep in touch with her for a little while after her departure from Wow. if you got to know her, you admired and love her, thank you .RIP.

Lawrence, Noah, and Andrew, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your precious mother. What we cherished most about Sonya was that she served the Lord with her whole heart, and out of her love for Him, she poured herself into blessing others in many ways. She had such a sweet smile and demeanor that comes only from knowing and loving our Savior. We pray the Lord comforts you during this difficult time, and that you are reassured knowing you can see her again in Heaven one day. Sending our love and prayers to you all.

Your mom was amazing. She was unashamedly sold out for our Lord and Savior. Now, she has transitioned to be with Him. I am grateful for how she impacted not only our lives but the lives of many others. She was our friend and we have missed her and you guys. Praying for Holy Spirit to give you comfort and peace as you mourn her. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything you need.

Your mom was beautiful in side and out - she had Gods glow, and love all over her. I remember when she grabbed me out of the blue-and you 3 of course to a parking lot to share the gospel while we fed the people in this neighborhood hot dogs and a drink- her boldness for the Lord was awesome, and wow I thought she was just on a whole other level….She also ministered to me and loved on me when I felt so broken after my divorce and gave me this scripture which brought me so much comfort -which up to this day I hang on my frig - and always remember her.
I now pass the scripture on to you - may it also encourage you when you are sad “The Lord is the glory and the lifter of my head” Ps 3:3
I’m so sorry she has left us so soon - but she is gone only for a little while- for we will see her again & one day be all together- I know she is truly rejoicing with our Lord - also be comforted in that.

So sad to hear of your Mother's passing. So many PRESIOUS MEMORIES of your Mother and of her Mighty Sons and the many skits and plays that impressed my husband myself and many others. My condolences to Sonya's family. I first met Sonya when she was my son’s Sunday school teacher at WOWC and we would often talk about our then, very young children. She was like a sister to me. She was a dear dear friend of mine who truly loved the Lord. She always encouraged me to keep my focus on the Lord. Our children used to play together. We are so saddened to hear of her passing. Lawrence, Noah, and Andrew please let me know if I can do anything. Your mother was a dear friend who I could confide in. God just required her to be with him. She loved you all so much.
