The Lees and the Kents go a long way back — I truly can’t recall a time in my life before the Kents were part of it. Uncle Sonny’s older brother, Robert, was my godfather, and our families have always been closely intertwined.

I will always remember Uncle Sonny and Auntie Connie for their joyful smiles and the warmth with which they welcomed everyone.

My heartfelt condolences to Warren, Glen, Gary, Joanne, and all of your families. Your dad’s deep love and exuberance will continue to shine through each of you. May God’s comfort and peace surround you during this time, and may you find strength in the faith that carried him through life.

With love and sympathy,

Dee Dee also for Auntie Mamie & Geoff Lee

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Uncle Sonny. Thinking of you all as you remember your Dad with love and gratitude.

Our deepest condolences to Warren, Glen, Gary & Joanne.  We are very sorry to hear of Sonny’s passing.  He was such a kind, friendly, empathetic person and a real gentleman.  He always had a smile on his face.  Our whole family has fond memories of him.  Our thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss and grateful for his peaceful transition surrounded by the love of his family.  (Embarrassingly) my passport is expired but I am holding you all in my thoughts.

So very sorry for your loss, Kent and MacNeil family. We are thinking of you. ❤️ Sonny was such a kind, friendly and lovely person, always with a smile on his face. (Our kids remember him playing the guitar, too!) Seems like he was the kind of person that was loved everywhere he went. He was so blessed to have such love, care and support from you, his family, at home. Big hugs to you, and take care. He will be so missed. 🫂❤️

Sonny was a true gentleman.  Calm, measured, intelligent, athletic and fun - you have to love and respect that! I knew Sonny for 42 years and he never wavered in his personality.  He was a perfect father to his kids and his parenting is reflected in a family that we adore.  He was the brother and best friend to my FIL Bunny.  Bunny would often tell us how proud he was that he and Sonny had kicked another team’s butt in tennis.  He was my wife Deb’s uncle and she loved to cook for him (favoured uncle status) as he was a very appreciative and valued guest….well….appreciated and valued until the post dinner games started - then it was every man for himself!  We had some fun card, dice and Mexican Train games with him.  We were lucky enough to shoot years of Christmas cards for the family.  Sonny was always up for our crazy ideas - so glad to have those memories of him.  We will miss Sonny and we already feel the big hole.  But, we know he is up in heaven playing tennis with Bunny - kicking some butt - and then going out later for a huge Chinese food meal with Connie and the rest of the family up there.  You can see him if you look up into the sky and find his bright star - a star that will shine brightly for the rest of our lives.

Joanne, Gary, Glen, Warren. My condolences to all of you on the loss of your father. I have very fond memories of uncle Sonny. I will miss him dearly.
Uncle Sonny was my dad’s best friend. They were like 2 peas in a pod. I remember him with a fabulous welcoming smile and sparkly eyes when ever he saw you. He was great fun to cook for as he loved all sorts of food. He was also quite the competitor in games as he would silently end the game by winning! I was lucky to be able to spend many years working with him. He was very organized, hard working, thought provoking, calm and an intelligent man. He would take the time to listen to your suggestions and give you the chance to prove yourself. He was always fair. I will miss him a lot, but am comforted by knowing he is winning playing tennis with my dad and enjoying a fabulous Chinese banquet with family and friends.

Hey Glen, Warren, Gary and Joanne,

Our sincere condolences to you guys on the passing of your dad.

We'll always have fond memories of the good old days at your home. Your parents always welcomed us with open arms (except for the gold room, lol )

. We can't believe he was 13 out of 16 siblings, your grandparents were busy people.

We know the past years have been very difficult but we rejoice that he's in the best place now.

May you feel the comfort that only God gives,

love the Eldertons
