গতকাল সুস্মিতা বৌদির আরবানা, কলকাতা বাড়ির ৪১ তলার ফ্ল্যাটে, আকাশের যতটা কাছাকাছি ওঠা যায়, আমরা ১৬টা পূর্বজন্মের মানুষ আনন্দ’র প্রথম জন্মদিন পালন করলাম। সুস্মিতা বৌদি, লাল্লুদা(প্রদীপ বাগচী), ইমন আগের’জন্মে আনন্দ যা যা খেতে ভালবাসতো(ওর খেতে ভালো লাগা জিনিসের তালিকা খুব ছোটো নয়) তার মধ্যে থেকে বেছে বেছে কয়েকটা দারুণ রান্না করেছিলো(শুধু আলগা প্রশংসা করার জন্যে বলছি না), রান্নাগুলোতে আনন্দ’র ভালবাসা বা আনন্দ’র জন্য আমাদের যে সব ভালোবাসা সেসবের ফোড়ন দেওয়া ছিলো। কি যে আনন্দ করে খেয়েছি আমরা! প্রচুর আড্ডা দিয়েছি, প্রায়ই আনন্দ’র কথা হচ্ছিলো। আনন্দ কথা বলছিলো। তারপর, ওই ওর যা স্বভাব, আমাদের প্রচুর আনন্দটানন্দ দিয়ে, কেক কেটে, ডিনার ক'রে সবাইকে বিদায় জানিয়ে বিশ্রাম নিতে গেলো।

No single story could do justice to the fabulous force that was Ananda mama. He taught me to dance hard, eat well, and always keep an ear out for the best gossip. We were lucky to have him around for much of our childhood, and his joy helped get us through some hard times. I'm going to miss him terribly, but his memory will always remind me to live as exciting a life as possible ♥️
